Company owner, Jeremy DeLeeuw was raised around the gravel industry. His dad, Paul bought his own gravel truck in 1972 so Jeremy and his siblings learned early on. In 2002 Jeremy bought an ’88 Freightliner (affectionately called “The Shaker”) from his father and started Pebble Pushers Gravel Co. with his wife Shannon. After his second full year in business he bought another truck and continued to grow.

In 2006 Jeremy bought his first new truck bringing his fleet to three truck and trailer units along with a loader and an excavator. The year was full of firsts, record profits and many new ventures. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and Jeremy’s father, Paul DeLeeuw, passed away suddenly leaving Jeremy without the one person who helped guide him in his business. Jeremy’s older brother Roland stepped up and gave some much needed help with Pebble Pushers Gravel Co.

There was further expansion in 2007, seeing the fleet to six truck and trailer units, a skid steer, loader and excavator - business had doubled for the fourth year in a row. Considering the downturn in the Alberta economy in late 2008 Pebble Pushers managed well and maintained their existing fleet.

Now with a fleet of 9 trucks and the addition of a skid steer, loader and grader Pebble Pushers is happy to offer even better, more diversified services to their customers. With 15 staff we look forward to steady work and further expansion. 

Jeremy and Shannon are both born and raised Central Albertans. They live, play and raise their family in Blackfalds. We are proud to support the community that supports us in our business efforts. We are proud to be diversifying our fleet with the addition of a grader, multiple tractors and experienced drivers with a variety of driving specialites. 

Pebble Pushers Gravel Co. is located in Paul DeLeeuw Place (corner of Hwy #2 and Hwy #597) just SW of the town of Blackfalds and 10 km north of Red Deer. We supply the equipment and operators for gravel sales, gravel and dirt hauling, site prep, excavations, contaminated waste hauling, sump squeezes, cribbing, bobcat service, demolitions, hot shot, grader service and snow removal along with all types of oilfield services ( i.e. lease maintenance, lease approaches, spill cleanup and sump reclamation).

Much of our work is completed within the Central Alberta communities of Red Deer, Lacombe, Sylvan Lake, Blackfalds, Penhold, Springbrook, Innisfail, Bentley. When required we do larger, longer term projects in communities such as Edmonton, Acheson, Wabasca, Calgary, Ft. McMurray, Grande Prairie and Conklin to name a few.

The hours listed above are the office hours. The equipement and operators run on seasonal times. Spring-Fall we offer longer hours of operation due to the warmer weather and longer hours of daylight.
